We are DermaScan.Skin-cancer screening,everywhere.Raising our Series A.

The thesis

Screening is becoming infrastructure, and infrastructure compounds.

Early detection already works. The bottleneck is access: screening is scarce, slow, and concentrated in a handful of cities, so most people never get it in time.

We turn screening into infrastructure: a standardized center that can open anywhere and be run by any health professional. High-quality detection within reach of everyone, not just those who live next to a specialist.

Every new center widens access and strengthens the network. That is how a screening company becomes category-defining: accessibility at scale, compounding with every site.

Early detection saves lives. Access decides how many.

The problem

Early detection works. The system around it doesn't.

1 in 5

people develop skin cancer in their lifetime

Incidence has tripled in 30 years, driven by UV exposure and an ageing population.

months

average wait for a dermatology appointment

Access is rationed by a shrinking number of specialists, and screening loses to urgent care.

~30%

5-year survival when melanoma is caught late

The same cancer caught early is ~99% survivable. The gap is detection timing.

The infrastructure

We built the infrastructure to solve the access problem.

Everything a high-quality screening center needs, engineered into four building blocks that reproduce anywhere.

01

Hardware

The proprietary LumaScan station: total-body mapping in one guided workflow.

02

Software

An in-house platform: video-dermoscopy app, patient pre-consultation portal, care coordination.

03

AI

An explainable safety net that supports the physician and never replaces them.

04

Training

A structured training program and a dedicated tech platform that bring any health professional up to the exact same protocol.

Live proof

We built it, deployed it, scaled it.

And we operated it ourselves in France: 6 centers live in 12 months, the fastest execution in the field. A model that scales easily, one turnkey center at a time.

Demand

Rising incidence and aging populations push demand up, while a shrinking dermatologist workforce pushes supply down. The specialist system can't absorb the gap, everywhere, not just in France.

Technology

Imaging hardware and AI have crossed the threshold where a standardized, high-quality center can be packaged and deployed by non-specialists.

Efficiency

The most pragmatic, rational answer to the need: trained GPs screen at scale, and specialists see only the cases that truly need them. Right care at the right level, no waste, no moonshot, a model that fits how care is actually delivered.
